Security & Parking Supervisor
Reports to: Facilities Director
Status: Full-Time | Exempt
Supervises: Security Staff (Daytime and Overnight), Parking Attendants, Temporary/Outsourced Staff (Valet and Event Security Vendors)
Position Summary
The Security & Parking Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all security, parking, and traffic flow operations at Westwood Country Club. This is a hands-on, operational role requiring strong technical skills, cross-department coordination, and the ability to manage complex schedules, systems, and documentation in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
The Supervisor works closely with Facilities, Events, Human Resources, and department leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and well-coordinated parking, valet, and security coverage for daily operations and major events. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to adjust staffing and operations beyond a standard Monday–Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Security, Parking & Traffic Operations
Oversee daily security, parking, valet, and traffic flow operations across the property
Coordinate parking logistics and access control for events, peak usage periods, and special operations
Conduct hands-on patrols and provide direct operational support during high-traffic periods, incidents, or major events
Resolve guest complaints and vehicle damage claims professionally and promptly
Enforce parking regulations and address violations, including coordination with HR on employee parking issues
Staff Supervision & Scheduling
Supervise, train, and support security and parking staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
Manage staffing schedules to meet daily operational needs and event-driven demands
Adjust shifts, coverage, and assignments to support evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
Approve timecards, PTO, breaks, and hydration schedules in ADP Workforce Now
Systems, Technology & Process Management
Administer and maintain the CellGate electronic gate and access control system, including permissions, updates, and troubleshooting
Use ADP Workforce Now to manage timekeeping, PTO, scheduling, and employee data for supervised staff
Utilize Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word) to manage communication, schedules, documentation, and reporting
Maintain and actively manage event calendars and staffing plans that align parking, valet, security, and departmental needs
Create and update operational documents, schedules, and process materials required to support execution
SOPs, Documentation & Compliance
Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to security, parking, access control, and event operations
Ensure SOPs are followed consistently and updated as processes, systems, or operational needs change
Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, schedules, and operational documentation
Partner with the Safety Committee to identify and address safety risks related to parking areas, entrances, and property access
Vendor & Event Coordination
Coordinate and oversee valet, temporary security, shuttle services, and outsourced vendors
Ensure vendors meet Westwood’s service, safety, and performance standards
Monitor vendor scheduling and costs and work with the Facilities Director to stay within budget
Collaborate with Events and other departments to ensure smooth execution of parking and security plans
Required Skills & Competencies
2–5 years of experience in security, parking, facilities, or hospitality operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong technical aptitude and ability to manage operational systems and processes
Experience using CellGate or similar access control systems
Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now for timecards, PTO, and scheduling
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word)
Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, event calendars, and multi-department operations
Ability to create, maintain, and enforce SOPs and operational documentation
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Scheduling & Work Expectations
This position is not limited to a Monday–Friday schedule. Work hours vary based on operational needs and event schedules. Flexibility to adjust staffing and personally support operations during evenings, weekends, holidays, and major events is required.
Physical Demands
Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving equipment up to 50 lbs
Ability to remain attentive and observant during extended shifts
Operation of vehicles, golf carts, and security-related equipment
Work Environment
Work is performed in a dynamic environment with varying noise levels, outdoor exposure, and potential safety hazards. The role requires frequent interaction with staff, members, guests, and vendors.
