Westwood Country Club is seeking to add a Day Care Associate to their Kids Club team. The Kids Club is a where the members can drop their children off while they enjoy the other amenities that the club has to offer. The Kids Club is open 7 days a week offering both morning and evening hours.
This position is for our evening and weekend shifts, all applicants must be available for all or some of the evening and weekend shifts that we offer. (evening hours listed below).
Evening and Weekend Shifts:
Wednesday 4:45pm - 9:00pm
Thursday 4:45pm - 9:00pm
Friday 4:45pm - 10pm
Saturday 3:45pm - 10pm
Sunday 12pm - 5pm
Job Requirements:
Play a pivotal role in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational
environment for children. Responsible for supervising and engaging with children while supporting their developmental and emotional needs.
A passion for working with children, effective communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor the safety of children in the daycare setting.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, games, and educational programs to promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Provide support and encouragement to help children develop essential skills, such as sharing, cooperation, and problem-solving.
Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring that all toys and materials are safe and in good condition.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, fostering a supportive community.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
Attend training sessions, workshops, and meetings to stay informed about best practices in childcare and development.
Implement safety and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of all children.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions and promoting healthy eating habits.
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones.
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in early childhood education or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to be patient, flexible, and adaptable to changing situations.
Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children.
Background check clearance as required by local regulations.
