DISCRIPTION
Westwood Brewing Co is looking for a motivated individual to join our team. We are located on Main Street in Rathdrum, Idaho. The Sous Chef will professionally prepare food to the Chef's exact specifications and setup their stations for the menu daily. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Promote teamwork in the kitchen environment through strong leadership skills and example.
- Training teammates and ensuring consistency
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive chef's instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Must have flexible work schedule and able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation.
WORKING CONDITIONS: * Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
