Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support teaching staff, including classroom management and professional development
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and health protocols
- Oversee enrollment processes, parent communication, and community outreach
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet the needs of children and families
- Maintain accurate records related to children's progress, attendance, and staff documentation
- Lead efforts in creating an inclusive environment that supports children with disabilities or special needs
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure the physical environment is safe and clean at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or classroom environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific care giving practices
- Experience with classroom management, curriculum planning, and staff supervision
- Certifications in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus
- Knowledge of working with children with disabilities or special needs preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and community partners
- Background in early childhood education or related field with Daycare Director experience a plus
