Westwood Academy is an independent early childhood program with a Colorado SHINES Level IV quality rating. We are expanding our Denver program and opening a brand new school in Arvada in March 2026. This program will initially serve infants and toddlers up to three years old, with plans for future expansion.

Job Description
The Infant Nursery Supervisor will serve as a key team member working with children ages 6 weeks to 18 months old. You are essential to ensuring a joyful classroom culture and a safe learning environment for the children. Working closely with your colleagues, you will help develop curriculum, plan activities, and support the children in learning independence, language, and social skills.
Key Duties
- Provide a safe and joyful learning environment for infants in partnership with other program staff
- Show up to work consistently, rarely calling out or missing shifts
- Form strong connections with each family, learning about their culture, beliefs, and parenting styles
- Give parents positive updates on their children each day at pick up and throughout the day using the school app
- Follow school curriculum and programming, always in alignment with the school’s defined values
- Ensure the daily schedule is followed and that all children have ample opportunities for play, movement, rest, food, outdoor time, and socialization
- Prepare bottles and finger foods for infants
- Work with colleagues on keeping records on each child by documenting their learning progress, behavior, temperament, personal preferences, and social interactions
- Use program software to track attendance, communicate with families and document care activities such as diaper changes, meals, bottles, and naps
- Support infants in developing motor skills through movement in the classroom
- Monitor children for signals they need a clean diaper, ensure they are changed without delay and their hands are washed before they return to the classroom
- Check diapers regularly and ensure children are changed immediately
- Ensure children always have clean faces, clean hands, and clean clothes
- Facilitate a culture of abuse prevention by following all child abuse prevention guidelines and holding colleagues accountable for doing the same
- Maintain all required professional development records and ensure the PDIS system is regularly updated
- Ensure the classroom is tidy, and that all cleanliness and sanitation procedures are consistently followed by all adults and children working in the classroom
- Always maintain compliance with childcare licensing and health department regulations
Qualifications
- Available to work M-F for up to 8 hours with a break
- Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential
- First Aid & CPR Certified
- Medication Administration certification preferred
- Clean criminal background check
Compensation & Benefits
- $20.00 - $23.00 hourly wage – based on early childhood credential and role

Physical Requirements
- Lift and turn carrying up to 40lbs
- Sit on the floor for extended periods
- Lift arms overhead to place or retrieve items from high shelves or cabinets
- Engage in fine motor activity including but not limited to changing diapers, pulling zippers, closing buttons, demonstrating pincer grasp, and using writing utensils and eating utensils
- Spend up to two hours outdoors in cold and hot temperatures

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
