Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and tech-savvy Medical Scheduler / Receptionist to join our front office team. This is a full-time, entry-level position ideal for someone eager to grow within a supportive healthcare environment. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in delivering a welcoming and professional experience from the very first phone call.

We will provide thorough training for the right candidate. What matters most is a positive attitude, a genuine desire to help people, and the ability to learn our systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls with warmth and professionalism
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Greet and check in patients at the front desk
  • Verify insurance information and collect patient intake documents
  • Maintain accurate records in our electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Communicate clearly with clinical staff regarding scheduling needs and patient questions
  • Handle appointment reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling
  • Assist with general administrative tasks and office support as needed
  • Occasionally travel to other clinic locations as needed (Coeur d'Alene, Silver Valley, Spokane); mileage reimbursed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Warm, patient, and professional phone communication style
  • Comfortable learning and using technology and software platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable, punctual, and a genuine team player
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks calmly in a busy environment
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations as needed

Preferred (not required):

  • Prior experience in a medical, dental, or behavioral health office setting
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or medical scheduling software
  • Basic understanding of insurance verification processes

What We Offer

  • Starting pay of $14.00 – $17.00 per hour, based on experience
