West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a premier 120-bed skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients. Our state-of-the-art 20-bed Vent and Trach Unit specializes in advanced respiratory care, ensuring a comfortable and therapeutic environment for our residents and patients. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vent Unit Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead our team of professionals.

Position Overview:
The Vent Unit Respiratory Therapy Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Respiratory Care team, ensuring high-quality respiratory care services are provided to our residents. This position will report to and work collaboratively with the Vent Unit RN Manager. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence in practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the respiratory therapy team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate respiratory care protocols and policies.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

• Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.

• Mentor and coach respiratory therapy staff, fostering professional development.

• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to performance improvement projects.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree with major in Respiratory Therapy

• Minimum of 5 years of respiratory care experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

• At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in respiratory therapy.

• Current certification and valid RI state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

• BLS and ACLS will be required.

• Must possess a valid and current driver’s license.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
