Assistant Manager

Westside Market | Full-time | Base pay starting at $40,000 plus bonus opportunity

Westside Market is a community of local businesses under one roof. Our Greenville store brings together furniture, home décor, gifts and other products from independent members. We’re looking for an Assistant Store Leader who enjoys selling, developing a team and helping create a store that customers and members love visiting.

You’ll work alongside the Store Leader to keep the Greenville location running smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll coach on the sales floor, solve customer concerns and help the team maintain a welcoming, well-presented store.

• Lead daily store operations when the Store Leader is present and take responsibility for the store when they’re away.
• Help the team deliver warm, attentive service and meet sales goals.
• Sell alongside associates and coach them on product knowledge, customer conversations and follow-through.
• Support hiring, training, scheduling and performance coaching.
• Build positive relationships with members and help address their questions or concerns.
• Keep the sales floor, displays and shared spaces clean, organized and inviting.
• Help track store results, including sales, member occupancy and customer feedback.
• Follow company procedures for transactions, opening and closing, safety and store standards.

• At least five years of retail sales or leadership experience; furniture or home furnishings experience is strongly preferred.
• A record of coaching a team and delivering strong customer service.
• Confidence handling sales, customer concerns and day-to-day decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort using POS systems and everyday tools such as Word and Excel.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.

We believe retail leaders should have time away from work, too. The standard Assistant Store Leader schedule is five days per week, approximately 45 hours, with two days off and at least one full weekend off each month.
