About YouYou are a systems-minded construction leader who pulls together project planning, cost, schedule and field conformance at an enterprise level. You’re comfortable managing and coordinating across internal teams, external partners and the jobsite to keep projects moving with first-pass quality and no-excuse schedules. Role OverviewThe Construction Planning Manager leads enterprise-level planning and project controls for single-family residential projects, utilizing Procore in daily workflow for core information management. This role owns the master budget and integrated master schedule. Responsible for orchestrating downstream updates to schedule, cost, and conformance based on validated inputs from internal and external players, the Construction Planning Manager is a keystone figure driving on time delivery, predictable cost control and client satisfaction across projects. Key ResponsibilitiesCost & Change ControlOwn the project master budget; run budget reconciliations, cash-flow views, and variance analyses with inputs from PMs, GCs and Accounting.Final gatekeeper for change control process (scope/cost/schedule), ensuring impacts are vetted, approved, and reflected in Procore and reports.Maintain WIP, contingency, and allowances tracking tied to standardized coding.Prepare and present regular financial reporting for projects to executive leadership, accounting and other stakeholders.Make decisions independently and/or with the input of leadership to maintain financial health and profitability of projects. ScheduleBuild and maintain the integrated master project schedule; sequence work packages with PM's to meet milestones.Anticipate risks and constraints; propose recovery plans and orchestrate resequencing when vendor capacity, inspections or field conditions shift.Drive a cadence of production meetings with clear look-ahead plans and commitments; monitor percent-complete and remove blockers early. Documentation & Technical CoordinationOwn Procore project workflows and data integrity; ensure drawings, models, submittals and field reports flow cleanly between teams and the jobsite.Translate inputs from team members into clear change directives and coordinated work plans; track resolution to closure.Maintain a standardized WBS, coding and document compliance approach across projects to support accurate forecasting and reporting. Accuracy & ConsistencyEnforce company planning standards, templates and documentation best practices across schedules, budgets and change management logs.Run routine QC on cost/schedule updates and conformance records; ensure master data matches field reality and approved changes.Publish consistent dashboards and weekly status reports (scope, cost, schedule, conformance) to leadership and stakeholders. Team Coordination & CollaborationServe as the central interface between GC, PM's, Quality Manager, Accounting and client-facing roles. Facilitate best alignment of cost, schedule and conformance.Champion clarity of responsibility between the various teams and individuals, helping to ensure proper project cohesion while minimizing opportunity for overlap of responsibility QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.10 years of construction planning or project controls experience, including residential projects; design-build or self-perform environments preferred.Procore expert level required; strong proficiency with scheduling and cost control tools (e.g., MS Project/Primavera, Excel).Working knowledge of Revit-based BIM for construction coordination; ability to interpret architectural/MEP drawings and specifications.Proven cadence leadership, communication and cross-functional coordination skills; disciplined approach to standards and data hygiene.
