Westridge HR, on behalf of our Niagara Falls client is currently hiring a Batch Maker / Chemical Compounder to assist in making batches of liquid and powdered materials.
Our client, a Niagara Falls based manufacturing and distribution company, produces commercial cleaning chemicals, including hand soaps, floor waxes, cleaners, degreasers, and products for commercial dishwashing and laundry.

Basic Job Functions:
- Gathering, weighing and pouring raw materials into batch tanks according to formulation specifications.
- Conduct in-process testing on finished products, such as: pH, viscosity and specific gravity.
- Conduct visual inspections of tanks and ensuring they are washed and cleaned ahead of product transfer.
- Ensure all documentation required during the production process is filled out as required by QA/Regulatory procedures.
- Following Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and observe good housekeeping.
- General maintenance as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Lead hands/ supervisors or management.
- High school or equivalent education level.
- Ability to work in an environment which includes standing, lifting, bending and walking.
- Strong math ability and attention to detail.
- Computer, measurement and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly for batch making process.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift and reach truck driving an asset
- Commitment to reach production schedule under deadlines.
- Adherence to company policies, values and health & safety procedures.
- WHIMS and TDG knowledge an asset.
- Must be 18 years of age to apply.
- Full training will be provided
Experience:
- General labor: 1 year (Preferred)
- Will train appropriate person
- Forklift: 1 years (Preferred)
