- Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensed in the State of Connecticut;
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, with school nursing or pediatric experience preferred;

- Develop and deliver professional development for nursing staff and other PPS staff as appropriate
- Complete all required state reports including school health survey, immunization, and asthma reporting
- Implement homebound instruction procedures in alignment with BOE policy 6173
- Provide student specific consultation to school teams and nurses on complex medical needs including seizure disorders, diabetes, and severe allergies, including participation in Section 504 and IDEA meetings as requested
- Oversee daily operations including substitute nurse staffing, leave coverage, staff allocation, and budget development and management
- Consult with building administrators regarding attendance policies and best practices to support student attendance
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels through recruitment, hiring, and retention of qualified school nurses
- Coordinate districtwide health communications including screenings, required notifications, and communicable disease updates as needed
- Participate in community partnerships including Juvenile Review Board, Westport Together, Prevention Council, and other community-based committees
- Coordinate vaccination clinics for staff and families as appropriate
- Arrange staffing and provide oversight for health services during summer school programs
- Participate in district level teams including Tools for Schools, Safety Committee, and Crisis teams
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, and Superintendent

Position Summary:
The Health Services Supervisor provides clinical leadership and administrative oversight for the district's school health program. This role ensures high quality, compliant, and student-centered health services across all schools. The Supervisor supports nursing staff, collaborates with district leadership, and promotes student wellness, safety, and access to learning. This is a 198-day position. Additional days beyond the 188-day school nurse work year are determined in consultation with the Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services.

Contract Provisions: A compensation package will be offered that is commensurate with the candidate's experience/credentials.
