Reno, NV | Part-Time, 1–2 Days per Week to Start, Targeting ~4 Days | 1099 | Relocation Assistance | Out-of-State Orthodontists Welcome
Most part-time ortho days stay part-time. This one is built to grow. A confidential, 100% dentist-owned group is expanding its Reno pediatric program and building the orthodontic schedule right alongside it: 1–2 days a week to start, targeting about 4 days a week within nine months, with a referral engine already feeding consults.
The work
- Orthodontic screenings, early intervention and comprehensive consults
- New starts, plus sibling and family referrals and long-term patient relationships
- Diagnosis, treatment planning and patient care, while the organization focuses on filling your schedule
Where your patients come from
A growing pediatric dentistry program in Reno, supplemented by referrals from the general dentistry network. You won't have to arrive in a new market and build referral relationships from scratch.
The practice
- 100% dentist-owned: no private equity and no outside investors dictating care
- Provider-focused, collaborative leadership that is investing in specialty growth
- Experienced clinical support, digital workflows, established scheduling, treatment coordination and admin infrastructure
Schedule and growth
- 1–2 clinical days per week to start
- Goal of about 4 days per week in the core pediatric office within nine months
- About 2 satellite days per month at the South Reno location
- Potential to add 1–2 days per month at South Lake Tahoe
- More days as demand grows
What you need
- DDS or DMD and an accredited orthodontic residency
- An active Nevada license, or the ability to obtain one (out-of-state candidates eligible for licensure are encouraged to apply)
- Strong patient and parent communication
- A collaborative approach with pediatric and general dentists
Compensation
- $1,500 guaranteed per clinical day
- Plus $100 for every new orthodontic start
- 1099 independent contractor
- Relocation assistance available
Why Reno, and why now
Northern Nevada is growing, with less specialist saturation than most big Western metros. You get no state income tax, Lake Tahoe about an hour away, world-class skiing, hiking, biking, boating and golf, four seasons, Reno-Tahoe International Airport and easy access to Northern California. We especially welcome orthodontists from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Idaho and across the West.
How to be considered
Apply confidentially with your CV and a short note on your licensure, where you're based now and how many days you could start with.
