The vision of Westpac’s Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) is to create a nimbler, more focused business generating superior performance through an engaged workforce. Lending Service Team under WIBTO team is focused on delivering market leading service for CIB’s internal and external customers through forward looking product and portfolio management, process re-design and improved technology.
The Lending Service Manager delivers the varied service needs of clients across a number of Industry groups. The role supports strategic business relationships and works with internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional service is provided at all interactions for new and existing core lending products and services (excluding Leasing, Trade and Structured Finance)
Key Accountabilities
Origination and fulfilment
You’ll be joining a highly supportive and collaborative team with international coverage during a period of Group Executive backed growth plans for WIB. You’ll be working in a collaborative and supportive team and work with senior stakeholders across our international offices. This is one of two positions we’re recruiting as we look to build our operations team in New York to support our regions.

Fixed compensation range for this position is between $95,000 - $110,000 USD (depending on experience) and benefits.

Key Accountabilities
Origination and fulfilment
- Understand client structures and lending needs to coordinate all onboarding and origination activities for new and existing lending customers
- Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Credit, Legal, Operations and Product teams to ensure onboarding and lending activities are completed accurately and on time
- Support customer verification requirements including KYC, AML and related compliance processes
- Facilitate loan settlements, drawdowns and ongoing payment activities, including receiving and progressing transaction requests and monitoring completion
- Support revenue collection by following up unpaid invoices in partnership with Relationship Managers
- Act as the day to day operational point of contact for lending clients, providing high quality service and support
- Manage and resolve lending service queries, requests and issues across internal and external stakeholders
- Support loan drawdowns, rollovers, refinancings and broader deal coordination activities
- Proactively identify changing client needs and sector trends to support effective lending service delivery
- Assist clients with adoption of new lending service technologies and platforms, such as digital lending portal
- Ensure relevant stakeholders have accurate and timely information to support lending service activities
- Promote a strong risk management culture, balancing customer outcomes with regulatory and operational requirements
- Identify, manage and escalate non-financial risk issues and incidents within the lending service business
- Complete required reporting accurately and on time, including reporting related to incidents and complaints
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lending processes, service quality and efficiency
- Work closely with Relationship Managers to support client servicing, renewals and loan related requests
- Partner with Product teams to provide operational insights and support ongoing product and process improvements
- Coordinate with Credit, Legal, Loans Management, Operations and Risk teams to support origination and ongoing servicing
- Engage with internal teams across Westpac where lending services intersect with broader client activities
- Build effective working relationships with external client contacts such as Treasurers and Finance teams to support day to day lending activities

What do I need?
- Operational banking experience
- Strong business acumen
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (i.e. Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics) is preferred
- Relationship building skills
- Track record in stakeholder engagement with operations and sales teams
