Essential Job Functions:
- Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer
- Strong communication skills with commercial team
- Must work well with both leasing, office, and maintenance staff members
- Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Performs routine maintenance tasks, service requests, preventative maintenance to properties and common areas as well as any other duties assigned
- Share on-call responsibility (limited)
- Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues
- Required to provide own (basic) hand tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Attends in-house training as required
- Maintain current preventative maintenance property logs
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools
- Lifting and moving of heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.)
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance
- Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills
- Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols
- Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues
- Follow company operational and safety procedures
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values
- Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver's license and working vehicle
