As a Construction Safety Specialist with Westons Safety Staffing, you’ll develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety programs to protect workers, ensure compliance with OSHA/CFR standards, and minimize risk across diverse construction environments.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
- 🔍 Conduct daily site inspections and hazard assessments (fall protection, confined spaces, electrical safety)
- 📝 Develop, update, and enforce safety plans, permits, and SOPs
- 🗣️ Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, and tailgate meetings
- 🚧 Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
- 📊 Audit subcontractor safety performance and verify compliance
- 📁 Maintain and track safety documentation, training records, and certifications
🎓 Qualifications:
- ✅ OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach certification (500/510 preferred)
- 🏗️ Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction safety
- 📚 Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards
