Individual Contract - Salary Range - $70,000 to $100,000 DOQ; also eligible for medical, dental, vision, life/LTD insurance, flex benefits, 403(b) match, sick and personal leave.

Qualifications: The candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, with a Master's Degree preferred. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching/related service provision in special education, demonstrating a deep understanding of classroom instruction and student needs. While a Minnesota Director of Special Education or K-12 Administrative license is highly preferred and valued, it is not required for this position. Candidates should demonstrate a strong track record of leadership, with previous supervisory or administrative experience considered a significant asset
General Nature of Job: The Special Education Program Coordinator provides strategic leadership and oversight for specialized programming and student services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and individualized support for students and their families. Primary oversight for transition services (18-through 21-year-olds), behavioral programming, and out-of-district placements, ensuring every student has a pathway to success. Oversee the Transition Plus (18–22) program, ensuring students gain the vocational, independent living, and community-integration skills necessary for post-secondary success. Lead the development and implementation of Setting 3 Programs, focusing on specialized academic instruction, life skills and behavioral support. Serve as the primary liaison for out-of-district placements (case management), monitoring student progress and ensuring external programs align with district standards and IEP goals. Coordinate the planning and execution of the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Direct district-wide crisis prevention and intervention training, ensuring staff are equipped with de-escalation techniques and safety protocols. Act as a consultant for high-need behavioral interventions and emergency response planning. Facilitate communication between families, school staff, and community agencies to create a cohesive support network for students, including Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) participation. Ensure all programs remain in compliance with state and federal special education mandates.
