Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our smoke shop and adult novelty store. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working late-night hours, enjoys interacting with customers, and has a strong ability to upsell products while providing excellent customer service.
As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of the store—creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where customers feel comfortable asking questions and exploring products.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide a positive, respectful, and professional experience
- Assist customers with product knowledge, recommendations, and usage questions
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase average ticket value
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and handle cash/card transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor
- Monitor store activity to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Follow all state and local laws regarding age-restricted products
- Work evening and late-night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 (depending on local regulations)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable discussing adult-oriented products in a professional manner
- Reliable transportation and punctuality, especially for late shifts
- Sales or retail experience preferred (upselling experience is a plus)
- Friendly, respectful, and customer-focused attitude
