What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Wastewater Operator position at Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc?
What you’ll do:
- Monitoring and observing operating conditions and adjusting process controls as necessary
- Troubleshooting of plant equipment and performing minor maintenance as necessary
- Collecting samples and performing routine lab tests
- Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements
- General housekeeping at facilities
- Maintaining accurate records of operations and maintenance activities
- Compiling monthly data for compliance reporting
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- MA Wastewater Treatment Grade 6C Full Operator License
- Knowledge of MA DEP regulation of plan O&M
- Familiarity with computers in a Windows based environment
- Must be able to work outdoors in all climates, climb ladders and lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license
Pay Range: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour depending on experience
