Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and specialty dishes with attention to quality and presentation
- Execute menu planning and follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency across all breakfast offerings
- Manage food production efficiently during high-volume service periods while maintaining food safety sanitizing procedures
- Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling to create flavorful dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety management standards
- Assist with food service operations by plating dishes attractively and ensuring timely delivery to guests or dining areas
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals or accommodating dietary restrictions as required
Experience
- Proven culinary experience in restaurant or catering environments, with a focus on breakfast or brunch service
- Strong background in food industry practices including food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and high-volume production
- Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills, food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and general cooking methods
- Experience working within dietary aide or dietary department settings is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, food production processes, and catering operations
- Previous roles involving food service or restaurant experience that showcase excellent food handling skills and attention to detail
