The Weston Public Schools is seeking to hire a Nutritional Analyst for the 2025-26 school year. The Nutritional Analyst will maintain the District's nutritional database, coordinate the Farm-to-School program, and implement green initiatives in the cafeteria. This is a full-time role, 6.5 hours per day, 205 days over a full school year, reporting to the Food Services Director. About the Weston Public SchoolsThe Weston Public Schools enrolls approximately 2,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes a high school for grades 9-12, a middle school for grades 6-8, an upper elementary school for grades 4-5, and two lower elementary schools for pre-kindergarten through grade 3. Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) - a voluntary school integration program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. The Weston METCO program enrolls approximately 150 students (K-12).

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ingredient and price database of all products used in the cafeterias
- Standardize recipes for nutrition, portion, and cost control
- Perform nutrient analysis on all menu items and post on the website
- Proactively collaborate with nursing staff to ensure nutrient and allergen information is communicated on a timely and accurate basis
- Work closely with kitchen managers and staff to accommodate students with allergies
- Provide allergy training to kitchen staff
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance job skills and stay current on nutrition regulations
- Generate and print production recipe worksheets daily for all kitchens
- Coordinate, sustain, and expand Farm-to-School program through the sourcing of local farms and local foods
- Collaborate with other Metro West communities to develop collaborative purchasing agreements around locally grown produce
- Assist schools in the ordering, processing, and serving of local foods
- Organize events to highlight locally-grown products
- Act as point person to the Community and District Green Teams for all food service related items
- Create and maintain school garden(s)
- Oversee the cafeterias' composting, recycling, and sustainability efforts
- Other such duties as assigned by the Building Principal or the Food Services Director
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in nutrition education in a K-12 school system
- Knowledge of nutritional standards for the National School Lunch Program
The salary range for the Nutritional Analyst position is $41,200 - $51,500 per year.
