Position Overview
The Weston Public Schools is seeking an afternoon Bus Monitor to supervise students traveling between Weston and Boston. This is a part-time position, Monday-Thursday. the bus leaves Weston High School at 3:00 pm, and returns around 6:00 pm.

The Weston Public Schools enrolls approximately 2,104 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes a high school for grades 9-12, a middle school for grades 6-8, an upper elementary school for grades 4-5, and two lower elementary schools for pre-kindergarten through grade 3. Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) - a voluntary, desegregation program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. The Weston METCO program enrolls approximately 166 students (K-12).
Key Responsibilities
Supervise students on the bus under the direction of the bus driver
- Supervise students on the bus under the direction of the bus driver
- Report all observed student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline issues
- Complete daily reports to be shared with the Transportation Office
- Attend regular trainings
- Seek help during emergencies if the bus driver elects to remain with the bus or students
- Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of the METCO program
- Strong interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and families
Compensation
$90.00 per shift.
