The Weston Housing Authority (WHA) is seeking an Executive Director responsible for the overall operation of 63 Public Housing - Criss Manor - units to maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
The Executive Director will be fully responsible for administering, managing, planning, maintaining, and directing all activities pertaining to the Public Housing program in accordance with HUD, State, and local requirements. Other tasks will include Public Housing program management, marketing, budgeting, strategic planning of agency goals, interacting with the Board of Directors, HUD officials, elected State and local officials, and local entities as required for this position. While the Executive Director will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the WHA, the Executive will report directly to the Board of Commissioners (BOC). Employment is at-will.

Salary Range: $18 - $27 per hour, based on credentials and experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Four years administering the Public Housing program or in property management for affordable housing programs with working knowledge of HUD regulations and supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and managerial experience in performing the essential duties of the position resulting in the ability to fulfill the essential job duties of the position is preferred.
Essential job duties may include:
- Tenant Relations and Leasing (to include eligibility and income determinations and lease enforcement activities)
- Financial Management (to include working knowledge of HUD’s Operating and Capital Fund grants)
- Operations and Compliance (to ensure program administration and adherence to HUD regulations and guidelines in addition to State and local requirements for managing a property)
- Record Keeping (to include compliance with HUD requirements, while keeping accurate, organized, and confidential records)
- Maintenance and Security (to include conducting or overseeing the inspections of property/units and preventative maintenance)
The candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a certification as a Public Housing Occupancy Specialist, and a Public Housing Manager within six months of the date of hire.
