Nationally known boutique law firm in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles seeks paralegal to work with four lawyers. We work in an informal and collegial high-quality environment doing interesting, often exciting, non-cookie cutter work. The job requires much interaction with clients and client representatives, as well as court, municipal, administrative agency and other governmental and quasi-governmental personnel; it includes independent work with regulations, ordinances and statutes throughout the country. The practice offers an unusual mix of civil, criminal, administrative and appellate representation, litigation and transactional work and sophisticated crisis management and other client counseling. Responsibilities
- Obtaining documents and information from courts and government agencies
- Evaluation and production of discovery and discovery responses
- Assisting with assembling of data for analysis
- Research (including Lexis, online resources and agency resources)
- Drafting, formatting, and proof-reading documents and correspondence
- Assist with case management
- Organize and electronically file pleadings
- Coordinate and schedule calendars
Qualifications
- Certified Paralegal in California
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver's license
- Notary Public license or eligibility
