We are seeking a passionate, business-savvy General Manager to help lead this next chapter — someone who values quality, team development, and entrepreneurial thinking. This is a rare opportunity to help relaunch an established brand while implementing your own systems, culture, and innovation.
About the Role
As General Manager, you'll be the operational leader of the Westmont Diner. You'll oversee the relaunch, drive day-to-day performance, and build a high-performing front and back-of-house team. You'll be empowered to make decisions, implement improvements, and lead with both ownership and heart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute daily operations, from service to staffing
- Hire, train, and develop a cohesive and customer-focused team
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences rooted in consistency, warmth, and efficiency
- Lead all cost controls: labor, food, inventory, and operating expenses
- Maintain a culture of accountability, teamwork, and pride
- Develop and implement systems for scheduling, prep, service timing, and cleanliness
- Collaborate with ownership on marketing, events, and local outreach
- Drive revenue growth while protecting profit margins
- Take full P&L responsibility
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience as a GM or AGM in a full-service or upscale diner/restaurant
- Proven success managing both FOH and BOH operations
- Strength in hiring, team leadership, and staff retention
- Strong business acumen and understanding of restaurant financials
- High attention to service details, cleanliness, and kitchen timing
- Ability to lead with both warmth and authority
- Experience working with owners or directly reporting to ownership is a plus
- Excitement to be part of a rebuild and brand evolution

- Base Salary: $120,000
- Generous Profit-Sharing Incentive Plan (Earn up to 8% of net profit when benchmarks are met)
