Custodian Trainee Temp

Westmoreland Manor is seeking applicants for a Temporary Custodian at the rate of $12.33 per hour. The purpose of this position is to perform general housekeeping of Westmoreland Manor areas as directed.

The shift for this position is variable, but generally 7A-3P, variable days. The schedule is subject to change at management's discretion. Temporary custodians are limited to no more than 1,000 hours per rolling year.

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Mops halls, dining rooms, restrooms, resident rooms, and other non-carpeted areas.
• Climbing a ladder to perform high dusting, taking down and putting up privacy cubicle curtains, valences when soiled.
• Dusts and mops stairwells and door frames, dusts rails in hallways, dusts lights and vending machines in café, etc.
• Cleans counters, windows and window seals, furniture, etc.
• Cleans glass doors and mirrors.
• Cleans elevators and elevator tracks.
• Vacuums carpeted areas.
• Buffs hallway floors. Strips and waxes floors as required, performed by floor care.
• Cleans carpets and shampooing as required, performed by floor care.
  
  

The successful candidate will possess

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year prior housekeeping/custodial experience required.
• Ability to do heavy lifting
• Ability to operate a variety of custodial equipment including but not limited to, floor stripper, buffer, and carpet scrubber
