Job Description
This position is responsible to provide high level customer service, clerical support, and assistance within the Enrollment Center.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist and provide accurate information to stakeholders, current students, and prospective students in front-line call center services regarding enrollment, registration, College services, and Enrollment Center requests.
- Staff the Enrollment Center front desk, welcoming and assisting students and visitors with a variety of enrollment and student service-related needs, while maintaining a professional, courteous, and welcoming environment.
- Research information needed to answer student/stakeholder issues.
- Identify and escalate priority issues and refer to other College resources as necessary.
- Update student records and other institutional information in accordance with College policies, procedures, and applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements; generate reports as needed.
- Refer to and collaborate with other departments across the College as needed.
- Assist with special enrollment events, registration initiatives, student outreach efforts, orientation activities, and other college programs as assigned.
- Support departmental operations by demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adjust priorities in response to changing student needs, call volume, staffing demands, and institutional priorities.
- Perform other records-related tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Engage in ongoing and frequent training sessions to maintain an understanding of College services, policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist with training as needed.
- Maintain and develop work-related knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the job through professional and cross-training opportunities.
- Attend all required meetings and training.
- Perform additional grade-level support duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional office skills and procedures required.
- Proficient verbal and written communications.
- Read, comprehend and follow instructions/work orders.
- Meticulous recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments, including managing multiple projects/tasks concurrently and meet varied deadlines.
- Ability to identify problems, make corrective recommendations and assist with the problem-solving process.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field required.
- Two (2) years of work-related and customer service experience required.
- Prior work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards.
- PA Child Abuse History
- PA Criminal Record Check
- FBI Federal Criminal History Record
- Call center experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged sitting
- Frequent standing/walking or otherwise moving around department/campus
- Repetitive finger/hand movements
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional bending
- Ability to communicate orally and hear conversation
- Use of computer and internet/internet-based systems
- Reading and preparing documents, reports, presentations, etc.
- Work is primarily conducted in a typical indoor office environment with appropriate lighting, noises, and temperature control.
- Minimal risk of injury or work-related illnesses.
