Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning according to recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with the prepatation of a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring timely and consistent meal preparation
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors
- Follow food safety protocols and handle all food products with proper hygiene practices
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances through regular cleaning routines
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure smooth service flow
- Running a dishmachine
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling procedures
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines
- Experience with catering or serving environments is a plus
