Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Arts & Sciences, this role oversees the daily operations of the front office and coordinates workflows and projects to ensure the successful administration of Arts & Sciences initiatives overall. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service orientation, both internally and externallyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, database software, internet applications, and social media platformsExcellent administrative skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the campus community and academic programs Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet project timelinesAttention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesExperience working with diverse populations and a global perspectivePositive, professional demeanor that fosters confidence, trust, and respectPreferred Qualifications:Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education settingsExpertise in sciences-related administrative dutiesKey Responsibilities:Office Operations Meldrum and Foster Offices: Provide office coverage, including intake and referral of questions and tasks, for both Meldrum Science Center and Foster Hall (as assigned)Manage approvals for purchasing cards for staff and faculty; maintain internal budget trackers for Meldrum departments, reconcile budgets on a monthly/quarterly cycleFront office intake, including assessment of student and faculty problems and referral to appropriate resourcesLiaise with contractors to maintain office supplies and equipment deliverySupport student worker hiring processesCoordinate, design, and produce the weekly Meldrum NewsletterOther duties as assignedProgram Management and Event Coordination Support Meldrum events, seminars, and clubs by overseeing budget, catering contracts, alcohol permits, invitations and RSVPs, ceremony procedures, certificates, communications, and any student covering/staffing requiredSupport faculty searches Run/edit reports on academic operations Coordinate faculty offices (including computers, furniture, maintenance, and annual office reassignments)Equal Employment Opportunity:Westminster University is committed to a diversified workforce, equal opportunity, and nondiscrimination.
