Position Purpose:
Assist Facilities Team with building and grounds maintenance functions and projects.
Essential Functions
- Seasonal grounds maintenance: grass cutting; edging; trimming; maintaining shrubs, trees and flowerbeds; leaf collection and removal; and snow removal.
- Other campus maintenance: trash collection, event set-up and take-down; arranging classrooms, tables, and chairs.
- Facilities project assistance: such as painting and construction.
- Facilities assistance: Run errands; pick up supplies and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Custodial Staff
- Employees or students that work or study in the area being maintained.
- Employees who request attention to a specific maintenance need
- Vendor delivery personnel / Contractor directional assistance
Skills
- Able to complete routine tasks daily, as well as the ability to be very flexible.
- Able to follow both verbal and written directions and to use this instruction to complete tasks with limited supervision very important.
- High school graduate or GED
- Currently enrolled at Westminster Theological Seminary Preferred
- Maintenance, Landscaping, or Building Trades experience Preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license
- Willing to serve and follow directions.
- While efficient, also able to operate equipment or perform tasks, in a safe manner
- Attention to detail.
- Appreciates the importance of tasks, especially relative to the end results.
- A sense of humor
- Ability to lift 70 able pounds.
- General good stamina and fitness for both indoor and eastern PA year-round outdoor conditions
