Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teller/Member Service Representative (MSR) role based in Westminster, CO. The Teller will provide front-line member service by processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and other routine financial transactions accurately and efficiently. The role includes verifying identification, balancing a cash drawer daily, handling cash, checks, and electronic transactions, and maintaining compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. The Teller/MSR will respond to member inquiries, explain credit union products and services, and refer members to other team members for more complex needs. The Teller/MSR will answer phone calls and assists members with transactions or any other needs over the phone. Westminster FCU is a small credit union and each employee wears multiple hats. Additional responsibilities include assisting with account maintenance requests, resolving basic account issues, supporting branch operations as needed, opening new accounts, auditing loans, and more!
Qualifications
- Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally, clearly, and courteously with members and colleagues.
- Basic cash handling and math skills, including accuracy in counting currency, balancing a cash drawer, and reconciling transactions.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for processing transactions, maintaining records, and following procedures precisely.
- Comfort with computer systems and banking software, including data entry, electronic transactions, and use of standard office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to security protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous teller, retail banking, or customer service experience in a financial setting is preferred.
