POSITION OVERVIEW:

Westminster Catawba Christian School, a Christ-centered Infant–12th grade school, is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Associate Director of Development to join our development team. This part-time role supports the growth and sustainability of the school’s mission through donor engagement, strategic communications, and community outreach. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Christian education, a passion for student development, and strong prospect and sales-oriented skills in donor relations, new prospect development, and digital marketing.

· Committed to the goal of giving a good report with regards to the school and community, and determined to live out the biblical principles of reconciliation spelled out in Matthew 18 when disagreement arises

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Employee will:

  • Seek out, cultivate, develop and steward relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, businesses, and foundations.
  • Participate in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • Represent WCCS to prospective families and friends, partners, and supporters through one-on-one meetings, school tours, media engagements, and community events.
  • Design and manage development-related digital communications, including email campaigns, social media content, and donor newsletters.
  • Support the production of development materials, including marketing brochures, annual reports, and graphic content aligned with the school’s mission and branding.
  • Deliver presentations and/or speak publicly on behalf of the school when needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Development, Head of School and school leadership to align fundraising strategies with school vision and mission.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES – The Employee should possess:

· Strong background and related experience, and desire, in donor relations, fundraising, or development work

· Sales and marketing experience and background highly with public speaking experience preferred.

· Knowledge of and commitment to Christian education and values.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences and capture interest in WCCS and its future growth in spiritual growth and discipleship of students and graduates.

· Experience in digital marketing, content creation, and graphic design (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, Constant Contact, or similar platforms)

· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part-time schedule.

· Bachelor's degree desired; background in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or education a plus.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
