Requirements
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Orient and train new employees on table service and established sanitation guidelines
- Provide proper table service during meals to ensure all customer needs are met in timely manner
- Follow established sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
- Follow and complete established side-work procedures to ensure complete preparation of meal service
- Preparing all dining rooms for each meal. i.e., setting and clearing tables
- Stock and replenish essential items in dining areas for preparation of each meal
- Effectively provide service for large parties based on customer needs
- Accurately enter orders into Point of Sale
- Effectively communicate customer needs to kitchen staff for delivery of service
- Provide supervisors with customer feed-back to ensure appropriate follow-up and customer satisfaction
- Prepare and process guest checks for accuracy of proper billing
- Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement
- Attend trainings and in-services to meet state regulations and personal and professional standards and expectations
- Assigned to other dining areas as needed, including healthcare
- Additional duties as assigned
- Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance, 26 pounds with manual or mechanical assistance
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal communication
- Understand state and sanitation policies and procedures
- Ability to serve and handle a variety of foods including meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, and eggs
