Schedule: Full-Time Night Shift (7pm-7am). 3 days one week, 4 days the next, with an every other weekend rotation.

What You'll Do In This Role
- Recognize and inform the appropriate physician of significant changes in the resident's health status and for adverse reaction(s) to medication.
- Maintain medication and resident's records.
- Participate in resident assessment and care planning reviews and revise residents' assessments and care plans.
- Insure problems and complaints involving nursing services are reported to the Team Leader in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Communicate and coordinate care with residents and their families/significant others.
- Document and lead others in the documentation of resident care.
- Direct, participates and/or assists staff in delivering care.
- Check for appropriate amount and condition of equipment and supplies; order supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Support and participate in facility quality assurance programs.
- Ensure that unit practices are consistent with regulatory requirements.
- Review, transcribe and implement physician orders.
- Practice and ensure staff adheres to infection control measures.
- Participate in continuing education programs to maintain competency.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Supportive and Compassionate (to both patients and nursing staff).
- Regularly exercises sound and professional judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to climb stairs, stand or walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
The Experience You'll Bring
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Virginia (or compact).
- A minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Must be proficient with all software applications and systems utilized in The Hoy Center.
- Must maintain current CPR certification.
- Flu-Vaccinated
- Experience working with the senior population.
- Compensation: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour (commensurate with experience) plus competitive night-time differential.
