Summary

The Senior Director - Total Rewards will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This includes designing competitive salary structures, incentive plans, and employee benefits that align with Westlake’s business objectives and support talent attraction, retention, and engagement.

Duties And Responsibilities

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the design and execution of global compensation, benefits and recognition strategies that are market-competitive and support organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure our total rewards offerings remain competitive within the industry.
  • Oversee compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and employee benefits.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on compensation trends, regulatory updates, and best practices. Prepare and present to board members, senior leadership and executive compensation committee members.
  • Use data analytics to assess the effectiveness of total rewards programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of total rewards programs.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to optimize benefits administration and program delivery.
  • Develop strategies to inform employees about total rewards program and drive employee communication and engagement initiatives related to total rewards offerings. Support team to provide education and training on compensation and benefit topics.
  • Develop and manage the total rewards budget. Monitor and control expenses related to compensation and benefits programs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of total rewards professionals.
  • Provide guidance to HR and management teams on total rewards matters.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented, and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing all employee and executive compensation programs.
  • Deep understanding of compensation analysis, job evaluation, benefits design, and relevant legal compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of global compensation, benefits and payroll practices, regulations, and trends.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
