Duties/Responsibilities
- Forecasting & Planning: Builds and maintains sophisticated forecasting models for seasonal and event-driven product lines.
- Landed Cost Analysis: Conducts tactical and strategic landed cost analyses to support procurement and seasonal planning.
- Inventory Modeling: Develops and manages inventory forecasting models for quarterly supply chain planning.
- Logistics & Customs Support: Ensures accurate Customs calculations to audit and match against actual charges; monitors Ocean and Drayage efficiency.
- Tool Development: Builds supply and demand planning tools in Excel and spearheads the transition of these models into system-driven automated tools.
- System Integration: Participates in the requirements definition and RFQ process for new Supply and Demand Planning software.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Responds to requests for data discovery across the supply chain, identifying trends and risks to minimize lost sales and optimize costs.
- Exceptional Excel Skills: (Advanced Formulas, Power Query, Modeling) – This is the most critical technical requirement for success in this role.
- Technical Skills: Moderate to high levels of familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Statistical principles,
- Analytical Curiosity: A natural drive to dig into data to find the "why" behind the numbers.
- Adaptability: Comfortable shifting between regularly recurring tasks and urgent, ad-hoc projects.
- Cross-Functional Knowledge: Familiarity with the interaction between procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
- Communication: Ability to present complex data in a clear, digestible format for decision-makers.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a significant plus.
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain analysis, financial analysis, data analysis, or decision support role.
- Compliance: Basic understanding of Customs compliance and international logistics is a plus.
- Certification: APICS, CPSM, or related analytical certifications are a plus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
