Lead the transformation of aging solar assetsWe’re seeking a Program Manager to own preconstruction for utility-scale solar repower projects within Transmission & Substation (T&S). This is a 12-month W-2 contract role focused on taking projects from development handoff to construction readiness—on time, on budget, and without compromising safety or quality.Your impactTurn existing site assessments into actionable repower designs that improve performance and constructabilityEstablish integrated schedules, budgets, and risk registers across a portfolio of projectsGuide multidisciplinary engineering (electrical, civil, structural, mechanical) and manage design reviewsDrive utility interconnection studies, grid integration requirements, and T&S coordinationOrchestrate permitting strategies with environmental partners and interface with agencies, utilities, and AHJsEnsure adherence to codes, standards, and safety regulationsShape procurement: equipment specifications, vendor prequalification, and contract negotiationsManage safe harbor equipment and renewable tax credit compliance timelinesMonitor budgets and forecasts; support cost capitalization and financial reportingRun project reviews, lead milestone presentations, and coordinate turnover to operations and commissioning prepQualificationsBS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline6 years in utility-scale renewable preconstruction project management or engineeringHands-on experience with utility interconnection processesDeep knowledge of utility-scale solar construction; PMP a plus, not requiredTechnical toolkitSolar PV and battery storage fundamentalsPower systems, grid interconnection, and utility regulatory landscapeEnvironmental permitting and compliance experienceKnowledge of safe harbor provisions and renewable energy tax creditsProficiency with PM software, scheduling platforms, and ExcelSafety first—alwaysWe align our work to one guiding principle: the safety of our people.
