Senior CNC Manufacturing Process Programmer

Shape complex parts. Mentor a team. Own the process.At our Newington, NH facility, you’ll be the go-to expert who turns engineering intent into precise CNC programs for large-format machining. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll work 100% onsite, partnering closely with engineers, machinists, and planners to deliver robust, efficient, and repeatable processes.A day in the roleYou arrive on the shop floor and review upcoming work with the scheduler/planner, selecting the right machine center for each job to balance setup time with cycle time and overall cost. You refine CAM strategies, design fixturing, build tool lists, and validate tool paths. Mid-morning, you head to the machines to collaborate with machinists on proving out a complex program. After lunch, you coach junior programmers, share lessons learned from a recent optimization, and recommend training or new technologies to elevate the team. You wrap up by aligning with management on milestones and ensuring program status is accurately tracked.What you’ll doDevelop and install machining programs for CNC machining centers across a variety of sizes, styles, and technologies.Design fixturing and generate precise tool paths; create tooling lists and procure required tooling for each program.Select the optimal machine center for each job to minimize cost and strike the right setup/run-time balance.Partner with the scheduler/planner to assign machine centers and maintain schedule tracking.Program and process complex parts, acting as the subject-matter expert for CNC programming at the plant.Communicate fluidly with engineering, machinists, and all levels of hourly and salaried staff to drive clarity and results.Discuss and translate complex technical concepts between the machine shop and engineering teams.Mentor junior CNC programmers; recommend training and introduce new processes/technologies to improve team efficiency.Continuously improve machining process times by applying lessons learned to each new job.Align daily work with management goals and production milestones.Location, reporting, and work settingRole is based in Newington, NH.Reports to the Manufacturing Manager.100% onsite position.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Either 8 years of CNC machine programming experience, or 3 years of CNC programming plus 5 additional years as a machinist.Strong machine center expertise; GD&T proficiency; deep knowledge of tooling capabilities and engineering concepts/terminology.Core proficienciesGD&TCNC ToolingTroubleshooting SkillsCNC ProgrammingMachines & technologies you’ll useCNC Automation SolutionsIf you thrive on building elegant programs for complex machining and enjoy elevating a team, this role will feel like home.
