Manage and support all IT projects and the day-to-day operations of the department. Provide operational services for users on a timely basis.

Information Technology Assistant Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
To provide the most cost-effective solutions for the resort’s telecommunication and information systems needs in line with the company’s philosophy and budget infrastructure. Manage and support all IT projects and the day-to-day operations of the department. Provide operational services for users on a timely basis.
Essential Duties:
- Provide user support on all IT-related systems.
- Manage and ensure the effectiveness of systems.
- Manage and ensure the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Participate in and support the planning and development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software.
- Monitor scheduled jobs.
- Schedule and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or database changes.
- Process all property-related IT Purchase Orders.
- Assist other positions in the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
- Conduct and attend regular department meetings and briefings.
- Inventory and order supplies.
- Professionally represent the hotel by participating in client and industry functions.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
- Normal office conditions with air-conditioning.
- Work in areas or confined areas w/o air-conditioning to set up wiring for computers, i.e. ceilings, closets, under desks, etc.
- Business travel as needed.
- Must be able to work the schedule and days set by the Director of IT.
- Must be able to work long and irregular hours.
- Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week.
- Must be able to respond to trouble calls on days off.
- Proficient in the use of a computer and with the company’s word, spreadsheet, e-mail, and other required software.
- Ability to use various office equipment including but not limited to telephone, calculators, photocopiers, and facsimile machines.
- Tools or equipment used: desktop computers and rack-mounted servers; telecom systems (analog phone/fax, dterm phone, IP phone). Network systems (wired, wireless and fiber).
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ability to sit in a confined area for the full duration of the shift.
- Ability to walk throughout the hotel to meet with other departments and/or attend scheduled meetings.
- Able to stand and walk during of shift to service users throughout the resort; installation or trouble call.
- Able to bend, stoop, and climb when installing wires, computers, etc.
- Ability manage stressful and challenging situations.
- Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to employees, managers and guests/clients.
- Ability to communicate over the phone and through e-mail.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two year minimum college or three years related work experience.
