CDL-Fuel Bobtail Drivers

JOB TITLE: CDL - Bobtail Drivers -

LOCATION: Midland/Odessa

POSITION REPORTS TO: Operations Manager / Dispatch Manager

COMPENSATION: Hourly rates range from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications, along with 1st Shift (Days)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely transport diesel fuel and or gasoline to customer locations
• Follow all delivery instructions and complete documentation in a timely manner
• Ability to connect/disconnect hoses, and operate pumps/valves for safe fuel loading and unloading
• Document and record driving via an ELD device
• Perform pre - trip and post trip inspections on vehicles and report any mechanical/safety issue(s)
• Follow all DOT/FMCSA regulations including those applicable to the transportation of hazardous materials
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Ability to interact and communicate with customers in a respectful and professional manner

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a valid Class A CDL with endorsements for Tank Vehicle "N" and Hazardous Materials "H"
• 2 years of CDL hazmat driving experience
• 2 years of bulk tanker liquid hauling experience
• At least 25 years of age
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Have a safe driving history, with no major MVR or PSP violations in the last 3 years
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Able to communicate in English, written and verbal
• Able to work any shift
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, pull, push & lift all types of hoses, equipment and tools to complete the necessary tasks.
• Able to climb ladders to check holding tanks on top of equipment.
• Must be able to sit and remain alert while driving for a period 11 hours.
• Must be able to shift manual transmission.
• Must be able to enter and exit truck cab multiple times per day.
• Must be able to reach above shoulder level; bend at waist level & below waist level for maneuvering and directing the controls to operate the truck.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in all types of weather (i.e., hot weather, wind, rain and cold weather).

PREFERRED

• Experience working in refined petroleum products, crude oil, tanker and/or chemical.
• Experience being on a Drilling Rig, Frac Site, and/or Production Locations.
• Experience with split load gravity drops at retail gas stations in the past.
• Existing access to Odessa and Midland Magellan, Sunoco in Stanton, and Delek Refining in Big Spring Texas.
