What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant (Part-Time) position at Westhill Dental?
Looking for more than the same dental assisting routine every day?
At Westhill Dental, we're looking for an experienced Dental Assistant (1 years) who loves dentistry, enjoys being part of a great team, and is excited to keep learning!
We're a privately owned, growing dental practice that offers something a little different. From general dentistry to advanced implant procedures, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, orthodontics, and digital prosthetics, we provide an incredible variety of dental services under one roof.
What does that mean for you? More opportunities to learn, expand your clinical skills, work with cutting-edge technology, and grow professionally without having to change offices.
And you don't need to know how to do everything we offer! We have an experienced, supportive team of dental assistants who are excited to train others who are eager to learn.
Why You'll Love Working at Westhill Dental:
A Team That Works Hard and Has Fun
We take exceptional patient care seriously, but that doesn't mean we take ourselves too seriously! Our team enjoys plenty of laughs, supports one another, and believes that enjoying the people you work with makes all the difference. We're proud of the experienced, dedicated assistants who help make our office a great place to work.
Opportunities to Learn and Grow
Whether you're interested in general dentistry, surgical procedures, dental implants, or digital technology, there's always something new to learn at Westhill. We believe in investing in our team and helping our assistants develop skills beyond traditional chairside assisting.
State-of-the-Art Technology
We opened our brand-new, 14-operatory clinic in spring 2025, designed with advanced technology and an exceptional patient and team experience in mind.
Our office features CBCT imaging, intraoral scanners, CEREC same-day crowns, lasers, 3D printers, and more. We continually invest in new technologies to improve patient care and make dentistry more efficient and exciting for our team.
What You'll Do:
In addition to traditional chairside dental assisting, our team has opportunities to work with a wide variety of advanced procedures and technologies. Core Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance for general dentistry procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
- Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visits.
- Follow proper sterilization and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with doctors, fellow assistants, and other team members to keep the day running smoothly.
- Utilize digital imaging, intraoral scanning, and other modern dental technologies.
Advanced Skills You'll Have the Opportunity to Learn:
- Implant and Oral Surgery: Assist with implant placement, All-on-X full-arch restorations, PRF-related surgical workflows, and other oral surgery procedures.
- Sedation Dentistry: Work alongside our clinical team during procedures involving IV moderate sedation and general anesthesia.
- CEREC Technology: Learn digital crown design and same-day crown fabrication.
- 3D Design and Printing: Create digital designs and fabricate models, night guards, surgical implant guides, and other dental appliances.
- Clear Aligner Therapy: Assist with digital treatment workflows and in-house clear aligner fabrication.
- Sleep Apnea Treatment: Assist with oral appliance cases, case coordination, and dental laboratory communication.
- Digital Dentistry: Gain hands-on experience with CBCT, intraoral scanners, digital photography, and other advanced technology.
Don't have experience with these advanced procedures? That's okay! We're happy to train motivated dental assistants who have a strong foundation in general dentistry and are excited to expand their knowledge.
And as an added bonus, our digital workflows mean fewer messy traditional impressions and temporary crowns!
