Position Overview:
We are a small, family-owned funeral home serving the Neenah and Menasha communities, seeking a compassionate, dependable, and licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. This in-person role is ideal for someone who values meaningful connections, treats every family with genuine care, and takes pride in providing personal, attentive service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with families to arrange funeral and memorial services with empathy, respect, and clear communication
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of services, including visitations, ceremonies, and graveside services
- Perform embalming, dressing, cosmetology, and preparation of the deceased in accordance with state regulations and high professional standards
- Complete all necessary documentation, including death certificates and permits
- Coordinate with clergy, cemeteries, crematories, and other service providers
- Handle removals and transfers with professionalism and care
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and respectful work environment
- Support families with follow-up care and resources as needed
Qualifications:
- Current Wisconsin Funeral Director and Embalmer license (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Genuine empathy, compassion, and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management abilities
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call schedule
- Physical ability to lift and transfer remains and stand for extended periods
- Preferred: Residence within approximately 20 minutes of the funeral home to support timely response for on-call duties

This is a fully in-person role based in Neenah and Menasha, WI. As a small, family-owned funeral home, we value teamwork, flexibility, and a supportive atmosphere. The role includes work in preparation areas and at services, with adherence to all safety standards. Professional attire and appearance are expected at all times when representing the funeral home.
