What are the responsibilities and job description for the CTE Electrical Summer Program Instructor position at Westfield Technical Academy?
Electrical Wiring summer support will run from August 4th - 6th from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Class will be conducted at Westfield Technical Academy’s Electrical Wiring classroom, located at Westfield Technical Academy. This position involves medium work with the regular lifting of up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting of as much as 100 pounds with some pulling and pushing or reaching above, as required. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct student(s) in a variety of topics that meet the curriculum for the 9th-grade Electrical Wiring.
- Evaluate student performance and provide regular feedback to students and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in accordance with regulatory guidance.
-Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and policy.
-Elicits industrial/commercial labor input into all aspects of the educational program as required in Chapter 74.
-Promotes the integration of academic competencies into the technical program as required in Chapter 74.
Work not to exceed 15 hours @ $45.00 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified or certifiable as an Electrical Wiring Instructor in a Chapter 74 (Massachusetts General Laws) Vocational Education program.
Experience teaching Electrical Wiring
3 years of experience in the industry.
