JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of authorized administrators shall:
Less than a Bachelor’s Degree - $102/day
Bachelor’s Degree or higher - $127/day
Valid and Current Teaching License - $152/day
Retired Teacher from any school district - $152/day
- Assumes responsibilities in teaching pupils utilizing a course of study adopted by the Westfield Public Schools and appropriate curriculum publications as guidelines in teaching individual course content.
- Assumes responsibilities in instructing pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in stat law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
- Consults, as appropriate, with the principal before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the lesson plans.
- Maintains records , as appropriate, including checking test papers, recording grades, student assignments for homework, projects and the necessary clerical work required to maintain student records for a teacher who is absent.
- Provides for individualized and small group assistance for students as indicated by lesson plans.
- Any other job duties as assigned by the building principal and/or the Superintendent of Schools.
Salary : $102 - $152
