Westfield Public Schools is seeking additional qualified applicants for the following long term sub position:RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the direction of authorized administrators shall:
- Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students.
- Prepare individualized education plans.
- Collaborate with school based related service providers.
- Collaborate with team on curriculum and student needs.
- Assess educational needs of students by use of standardized tools, running records and other informal assessments.
- Maintain complete records of re-evaluation periods, required student documentation and parent communication.
- Integrate technology into instruction.
- Provide differentiated instruction to students as needed.
- Implement school, district and department policies.
- Create and manage effective communication with parents of special education students.
- Create and follow goals and objectives for IEPs, write quarterly progress reports and follow behavior plans with integrity.
- Follow the Westfield Public Schools code of conduct for the classroom which is consistent with established administrative policies and develops rules of classroom behavior which are enforced in a fair and just manner.
- Plans and supervises assignments for classroom paraprofessionals.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the building principal or the Superintendent of schools and/or their designee.
