Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies is an interdisciplinary, undergraduate unit of Western Washington University, dedicated to assisting students in taking an unusual degree of responsibility for the structure and content of their education specifically in the areas of creative arts and science.

Teaching for Fairhaven is in-person and out of state work arrangements are not permitted.
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree with teaching experience
- Demonstrated ability to teach an interdisciplinary curriculum
- Experience with teaching methods which promote active, participatory learning
- Experience working with a diverse student body, including a demonstrated ability and commitment to cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds
- Understanding of Fairhaven's pedagogy
- A terminal degree
- Positive teaching evaluations
Salary
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Fairhaven College Pay Scale
Tier 1: MA with minimal teaching experience: $791/credit
Tier 2: Ma and substantial teaching experience: $1,019/credit
Tier 3: ABD and successful teaching experience $1,100/credit
Tier 4: PhD, MFA or J.D and successful teaching experience $1,236
