Hillside Small Animal Hospital is seeking an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Hillside Small Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal practice serving Batavia and Cincinnati’s east side suburbs. Our hospital focuses exclusively on dogs and cats, combining family-oriented, relationship-based care with modern medical expertise. We are committed to supporting pets through every stage of life, with an emphasis on preventive care, client education, and personalized treatment plans. We also offer comprehensive dentistry care, complete with digital dental radiographs, as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, such as cruciate repair and fracture plating. Our dedicated team—comprised of two veterinarians, four registered technicians, and experienced support staff—is known for our clear communication and for delivering “star treatment” compassion to all of our patients.
This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Compensation: $13 - $15 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a part-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday, and every other Saturday.

- 1 years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
- Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
- Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially EzyVet, highly preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
- Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
- Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
- Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods
