As our Hospital Manager, you’ll work closely with the Medical Director and leadership team, taking ownership of daily operations and guiding our hospital toward continued success.

Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic is a 2-doctor practice caring for dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, and reptiles/amphibians. The hospital offers digital X-ray, laser therapy, and acupuncture, with services including chiropractic care, soft tissue procedures, dentistry, herbal medicine, and minor exotic care. The team culture is hands-on and collaborative, with doctors willing to jump in and help across the hospital when needed. This can be a strong fit for someone who values teamwork, variety, and a close-knit practice environment. Taos offers breathtaking Sangre de Cristo Mountain scenery, a renowned arts community, historic adobe architecture, outdoor recreation, and distinctive Southwestern culture.
This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
- Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
- Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

- Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 annual base salary*
- Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance

- 3 years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required.
- Veterinary hospital management experience strongly preferred; medical, dental, or healthcare practice management experience also considered.
- Previous veterinary experience (e.g., Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Client Service Representative) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient with business software and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
