Veterinary Assistant

Hayden Pet Medical Center is growing-and we're excited to be welcoming two new doctors to our team! We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our expanding hospital.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in both surgery and outpatient care while building meaningful connections with clients and their pets.

In This Role, You Will

• Assist with patient prep and recovery for surgical and dental procedures
• Support exam room workflow, including patient handling and appointment prep
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate with clients during check-in, treatment, and discharge with empathy and clarity
• Help keep the day running smoothly by anticipating team and patient needs

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: $19-22 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current experience

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set

• 2 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Exotic Animal Experience is a plus
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Radiology
• Phlebotomy
• Surgical setup and assisting
• Laboratory sample collection
