San Marin Animal Hospital is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for Veterinary Assistants who are excited to fully utilize their skills in both surgery and outpatient care while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets.

In This Role, You Will
- Support exam room and outpatient workflow, including patient handling, appointment preparation, and schedule flow
- Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation and recovery, dental prophylaxis, and dental radiographs
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records to support consistent, high-quality patient care
- Communicate with clients during check-in, treatment plan reviews, and discharge, answering questions with empathy and clarity
- Anticipate team needs to help ensure smooth daily operations and uphold high standards of care
This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and flexible availibility required Monday through Friday.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
- Compensation: $23-26 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Venipuncture, cystocentesis, and placing IV catheters
- Administering SQ, IM and IV injections
- Anesthetic support and monitoring
- Dental prophy and radiographs
- In house lab processing including cytology
