Loving Family Animal Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, is a 4-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care in a compassionate, welcoming environment. In addition to dogs and cats, the team cares for exotics, reptiles, and birds, offering a diverse and rewarding caseload. They offer a range of services, including laser therapy, while focusing on personalized, high-quality medicine and building lasting relationships with pets and their families.

- Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
- Providing safe, gentle patient handling and stress-free restraint during outpatient and procedural care
- Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
- Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
- Compensation: $21 - $24 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with a rotating Saturday schedule from 8:30am - 1pm.

- 3 years of experience in a veterinary assistant required
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Safe animal handling and stress-free restraint skills for dogs, cats, reptiles, avian, and exotics of varying sizes and temperaments
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care principles
- Ability to assist in surgical procedures
- Ability to assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures
- Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Experience in IV catheter placement
- Compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members
